Difference between Rodimus Prime + Hot Rod

The only differences are the size, one is a car the other a truck and that´s it. He is still a jerk immature guy. There is even an episode that he loses the matrix, reverts back to Hot Rod, but he even claims that he is the same with or without the matrix. I agree with him, his personality doesn’t change at all. Being Rodimus or Hot Rod, he still complains about leadership and stuff like that. Is there a real psychological difference besides his physical transformation?

He doesn't use his arm cannons like he does in the movie.

As Hot Rod, he is more hot-headed, impetuous and prone to jumping in without thinking.

As Rodimus, he's (supposed to be) more mature, more of a strategist, less gung-ho.

I think he is more of the same than not. Hot Rod just seems less anxious & stressed out, not least it's not like if Rodimus isn't around the Autobots don't have a new leader- he can be freed up because of Prime's return & whatnot.

Kinda like the workplace, if someone steps down from a high position, they don't have to deal with expectation & stress.
They remain the same person, but their demands are drastically minimized.
