'One use of mild bad language' XD

I almost laughed my head of when I red this. I don't know if any of you has noticed, but on the UK DVD release, rated PG all way through, the rating comment on season two, part two is "Contains frequent, very mild violence and one use of mild bad language". One use of bad language worth mentioning, in a series 421 minutes long! I've never before actually seen such a comment with an exact number given like that. Sure, we have another rating system here in Sweden, but I do own a fair amount of foreign DVDs anyway, and to me it looks very funny when they so clearly specify that it is only one use of this mild bad language on these DVDs. I cant help but wonder which one they got stuck on, I don't know how bad it must be to qualify for "very mild bad language". I mean, it can't really be "blast" or something at that level, since that is definitely used more than once and obviously doesn't count. Does anyone have any ideas? I've not seen all episodes as yet, but so far I haven't heard anything I would possibly consider classifying as bad language.

Would be grateful for suggestions from those of you who know this series better than I do. Just for the fun of it... =D

reply

Maybe it was when Starscream called the Autobots 'Autoboobs'.

reply

If "boobs" can be considered bad language, lets not forget Prime's famous words, "A booby-trap that actually catches boobies!".

reply

But for both of those, "boob" means something along the lines of "idiot"; not anatomy.

reply

In "Make Tracks" Starscream says "So long, suckers!" to Cosmos and Powerglide, that might be it.

reply

Cyclonus also says that in one of the Rebirth episodes, if I'm not mistaken. But since when is "suckers" considered a profanity?

reply

I don't know if it qualifies at all, but I can't find anything else that does either. Anyway, OP asked for suggestions and this is my contribution =)

reply

Maybe it's because of Slag's name.

See you in another life, brother.

reply

Considering the amount of times Slag's name is used I find that highly unlikely. Besides, Slag was introduced during season one, and this one-use-of-bad-language-rating was for season 2.

reply

I was thinking maybe Slag's name, but idk. that's very odd.

what? you were hoping to see some clever signature here? well too bad!

reply

Maybe the closest thing I can think of is when Starscream, at one point, calls Megatron "Megabum".

reply

Was the '86 movie on there? Spike said "shït" in the movie.

reply

In the episode "The Girl Who Loved Powerglide", an old man says the line "I feel like an absolute bloody fool" in the opening scenes at the birthday party. "Bloody" isn't a swear word in the US but it is a mild one in the UK - and I remember being quite shocked when I heard it in the cartoon (I was about 8 years old).

reply

True, that might be it. Thanks!

reply

I agree here, but then, if they included the movie, there would've been at least 2 bad words: *beep* and "d@mn" (when trying to open the Matrix of Leadership "D@mn you, open!"

It is the year 2005. The Decepticons have conquered the Autobots home planet of Cybertron.

reply

Yeah like someone else on here implied is Transfomers the movie part of that DVD release? I didnt know how things were packaged over there on the release. If so like someone said, Spike says *beep* in the movie (well most version anyway). Also Ultra Magnus says Damn in the same movie.

reply

"Stick it up your afterburner!"
"I'm too pooped to shoot!" - Cliffjumper
"Stick it in yer tailpipe!" - Ironhide

"Shut 'cher trap." - Ironhide
"Let's crack the crack cases."
"I must have static in my rectifiers."

"You look like Optimus ran you through a mazer powered trash compactor."

"You look like guests of honor at a 100 car pile-up." - Sparkplug

"I think our 'jet-judo' needs a little work."

"You're a human after my own processor!"

Ok, so after a while I just added a few quotes for the fun of it...

reply

Seriously I started up Masterforce, and the very first episode had d4mn subtitled.

reply

Most likely it is in the second episode of "The Return of Optimus Prime" (Season 3, Episode 30...if memory serves). During the scene in which Optimus opens the Matrix (in an effort to "defeat" the Hate Plague), Stan Bush's "The Touch" can be heard. One line in particular, "When all Hell's breakin' loose, you'll be right in the eye of the storm. " was rather out of place in a show from the '80s...ESPECIALLY a cartoon from that time.
