Should Thundercracker have the same persona from WFC in the series?

I think his game persona would've made him a more developed character. In WFC, Thundercracker seems so level-headed and scientific as oppose to him being a generic goon in the series. I think if he was as scientific-minded and rational on the cartoon as he was on WFC, he would've rivaled the likes of Wheeljack, Ratchet, and Perceptor.
