Give us retro storylines/seasons circa 1985-2005

Between G1 S2 1985 & The Movie which takes place in 2005, I would much enjoy watching Transformers unfold.

There are dozens of great characters & potential side plots, all leading to Unicron's appearance in '2005'. I'd love to see how the Transformers canon developed on Earth & Cybertron, the jump from season 2 & the movie/season 3 was such a wasted opportunity.

Check out the old Marvel UK comics as they broach the time between 1985 - 2005.Their are many of these stories collected together in graphic novel form like the epic Story Target 2006 and the classic Wanted Galvatron Dead Or Alive.

Basicly the stories involve Galvatron using a time travel device to travel back in time to 1987 duing and after the events of Transformers The Movie.

Still I would have loved to see what happened in the missing years leading up to Transformers The Movie in cartoon format.

There is also plenty of fan-fiction that handles some of this. I thought about writing my own fiction about the lost years. I had some ideas on topics, but I am not a good writer so I never did it.

I haven't seen nor read anything Transformers related that was any good since Beast Wars ended. I would rather that the stories that were, were left alone because modern television is dumbed down to the utmost to appease a brain dead, ADD society. Now, I am not saying that this show was Shakespearian, but it was a heck of a lot better than Car Robots, Beast Machines, The Unicron trilogy and anything else that has been released since Beast Wars ended. Hell, even Regeneration one sucked and that was suppose to be the "epic" conclusion to the original Marvel comics series. I'd be just fine if they keep making dumb Bayformers movies, and crappy television series as long as they leave the good stuff alone by not making any more stupid sequels 30 years after the fact!

All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

Well put, Enigmatic-Ocean. We are from a generation that had good cartoons when we were kids. Everything done now is far below my standards starting as early in the 90's with the Power Ranchers.
I also agree that those Bayformers movies, as you put it, are plain dumb though watchable.

Anyone else? Even some G.I. Joe crossover would be good from that period.
