I had totally forgotten this series until I was watching a Youtube video on vehicles from old 80s TV shows. It briefly discussed the pink helicopter they used in this show, and it triggered memories of watching this show back in the day. What exactly was the appeal of it?

Well, I did see it as a child. In fact, I believe it was common watching in my house for a time. However, then I completely memory holed it until a few days ago when I saw a reference to it in a Youtube video.
