I couldn't agree more! I loved this show when I was growing up. Cool cars, and cool boats, what more could you ask for. There wasn't a much better show at the time. I would love to see this show in re-runs again. Come on Spike TV! this show would be perfect for your network. You're not alone out there Scoobs. Great show, lets see some re-runs.

I agree...it's perfect for Spike TV. It didn't last on TV very long, but it had stuff that the whole family could enjoy. I remember being about 12 or 13 and watching it with my grandmother.

I remember the Tuesday night lineup where we could actually stay up until the news came on because the shows were decent for our age. 7pm--The A-Team, 8pm--Riptide, 9pm--Remington Steele. You didn't have to worry about whether or not some couple (or not even couple) were going to wind up in bed together...

Anyway, hope Spike TV picks it up!

Cool Show huh?

Have you seen it aired anywhere, or heard any rumors of a DVD?

Now THIS is a board for the die-hards... : ) I was 12 when this was on TV and it was perfect fodder for my pre-teen mind, right up there with "The Dukes of Hazzard," "Battlestar Galactica," and "The A-Team." Ah, Stephen J. is the dreamweaver... : )

I think of this show as a lighter version of "Miami Vice". I was 9 or 10 when it was on and I remember how cool I thought it was. Pretty sure it was on the same night as "The A Team".

Two things that stick out in my mind: that old as dust transport chopper they called Screaming Mimi, and that stupid looking robot that the nerdy guy took everywhere. I kept wishing someone would push it into the water.

Probably not enough interest in this show to warrant even late night reruns. Oh well, the handful of us can still remember.

"You'll get nothing and like it!!"

I do remember this show it did have a catchy theme as I recall
But ya Stephen J Cannell is a Geniuese

anybody remember a show called Stingray??? with that car

reply

I remember Stingray. I thought Nick Mancuso was sooooo cute! And I even liked the car (and I'm not into cars -- even now!)

reply

Yeah, I'd tune it for it, it vanished without a finale, right?

I was shocked at the time.

That was a fun night of TV!

I haven't had a 3 pack of shows on one night I have really enjoyed as much as those 3 ever, I had forgot RS was the third one, which is funny since I though SZ was the bomb. 8)
