I love the series

Riptide is the best series of the 80ies!!!! Even twenty years later the show is wonderfull! What a bummer that the actors werent successful in other movies; especially Perry King as Cody Allen was phantastic.

I agree, it was my favorite show at the time, and vanished.

I haven't seen it since it last aired, very curious how it comes across now that I am 20 years old and wiser. 8)

What did any of that horoscope stuff have to do with Riptide?

Maybe we should plug all of that into Roboz and see what he comes up with.

I have to disagree with you about the actors not being successful after Riptide, Joe Penny (whom I still love till today) and Perry King have made so many movies which still run on Lifetime till today. Perry King was on the Melrose Place show and Joe Penny stars on the Jane Doe episodes. I think they have done very well for themselves. I would however would like to see them bring back Riptide as a movie of the week like they did Walker Texas Ranger, I bet that would be fun to watch!!!

Boy yes! That would be awesome!

I'm wathing season one (which I had never seen before) and it's brilliant! Cheezy lines, strange clothing, stupid moustache, but BRILLIANT! [grin]

They sure still are amazingly sexy, even 20+ years later!

j.U.d.E. - they misunderestimated me

Joe Penny went on to star in "Jake and the Fatman" after this was cancelled. He also guest appeared in an episode of "Walker Texas Ranger" the next-to last season it was on. Perry King played the U.S. President in "The Day After Tomorrow".
