Does it bother ANYONE else about the DvD's???

So far so good that the Dvd's have some very good extra features. Season's 1 and 2 were excellent because we got to see George Gaynes, Cherie Johnson (wow that WAS her real name!) and Ami Foster doing extra commentaries on their memories of the show.

But where alas is the "star" of the show? Why is Soleil Moon Frye not giving her 2 cents? I think it would be a great addition to her giving a comment here and there. Just for debate / insight, does anyone else find this strange?

Maybe she still wants to distance herself from that aspect of her life? Hmmm..

yeah which is unfortunate. I think Punky is the best thing she did. she should be proud of the show and how positive it was and what it did for people. seems like it would be a show that you'd WANT to be remembered for and that she'd want to support. it would be nice if she did do an interview about the show for the last dvd.

I think she should support it to if its wasn't for punky she would not be were she is today. you shouldnt bite the hand that feed you.

Perhaps it has been posted on here before that Soleil wants to distance herself from the show; however, she certainly did not feel that way in 2000. In an interview conducted by E! for Celebrity Profile, she said and I quote, "If I'm 60, 70 years old and somebody says 'Hey, weren't you Punky?' I won't mind because it was such a huge inspiration, and the fact that people still come up to me and remember the show and remember the impact that it had on them is wonderful."

Something must have happened in those 4 short years between the interview and the season one DVD being released. But I can't imagine what. My brother suggested that maybe she has some kind of issue with the way the DVDs are being released. Maybe she doesn't like Shout! Factory or wishes they were remastering the original tapes rather than doing direct transfers. Or maybe she's just super busy being a mom and regrets having no time to do an interview.

Soleil has had an extensive career aside from Punky Brewster... it's not as if the role is holding her back. I have my doubts that she wants to distance herself from the show--she IS Punky Brewster and there's no getting away from that.

Punky WAS the show!! No interview from the title character is definately strange!

What are the purposes of signatures!!..
