dating game episode, why is Cherie dirty?

In the season 3 episode (I think it's called Matchmaker) where Punky and Cherie make Mrs. Johnson do the dating gameshow....
Right after Mrs. Johnson gets picked, in the dvd they cut to a scene of Cherie and Punky coming back into the apartment. Why is Cherie all dirty and disheveled in this scene? No explanation is given, was another scene cut?

Cherie most likely was in a scene that was cut. An episode usually has 1-2 minutes extra and they trim it in editing. Almost all Friends episodes are like that. When you watch them on DVD, they always include extra dialogue or a slightly lengthier scene than what aired.
