Did anyone else notice that Harry always seemed vaguely creepy and stalker like whenever he pursued any relationship? Even with Christine it seemed really awkward.

but there is more than one person in a relationship. if you are talking about the witch lady, she was also spending time with him, just as he is spending day after day with him. and the reporter woman took him by surprise.
i think what it all boils down to is the fact that he was in love with being in love. did you see the look he was giving christine when she was marrying that accountant tool?
and did he REALLY persue christine? sadly, not really. they professed their attraction to eachother but that was it. they always tap-danced around their attraction but it never really escalated. and DAN was the one who was the stalker and more than vaguely creepy.
you used the word awkward. that is the perfect word to describe harry [unfortunately]. he was awkward. he had no idea how to handle himself within a relationship. he knew how to pick up a mate but did not know how to hold onto the mate.
he WAS obsessed with being buddy-buddy with Mel Torme.
