Something changed when Jessica moved to New York. They tried to be hip and it just didn't work. The writers were also running out of ideas, every other episode seemed to be about financial troubles in the corporate world. I also have to say that I preferred sheriff Metzger. Tupper was just too silly.

My favorite season is unquestionably the first. Everything was fresh and new, then. A locked room mystery like the murder of Cagliostro was still fascinating. I think after a while we watched much more to see the parade of favorite stars out of our past, than to be intrigued by the crime.
