Little Muppet Monsters
I was too young to remember watching this show when it first aired and was at the height of it's popularity, but I recently read somewhere that there was an additional show that followed "Muppet Babies" in 1985 called, "Little Muppet Monsters".
I read that there were 18 episodes produced, and only two episodes actually aired because Jim Henson pulled the plug on the show early. September 14 and 21 remain the only two days the episodes actually aired.
I know that the Jim Henson Company is very slow to put their TV shows out on DVD due to those pesky copyright laws (I'm still waiting for the Muppet Show Season 3 to come out, although it will be at least a year). But I'm really eager to see "Little Muppet Monsters" get released on DVD. Who cares if it wasn't as good as "Muppet Babies" or even "The Muppet Show". I still want to see it!
The show is practically like the "Star Wars Holiday Special": it's only been shown once on television, it was an idea that the creators of the franchise hated, and the tapes have been bootlegged often. Just like the Holiday Special was an important part of Star Wars history, although a very brief, dark part, I still want to see "Little Muppet Monsters" because my curiosity is peaked!
