How does anybody win with the royalties thing?

In the trivia section it says because of all the movie clips they use, the royalties to them may make it impossible to put The Muppet Babies back on TV again or to release them on DVD. I don't get how anybody can win then because there's no money coming in from the show anyway.

I don't think every episode of Muppet Babies had Movie and TV show clips in it.

Disney could at least release a best of with episodes without TV and Movie samples in it. Some would be better than none

Also, I don't get why Disney just doesn't spend the money to aquire rights to publish the episodes. This cartoon was a Success and a DVD release would also be a success if you ask me. I am pretty sure they'd make up for their loss in profits

Disney's responsible for them? Well what in blue blazes is stopping them from releasing them on DVD? It's not like Disney doesn't have money coming out of their ears there, so I would think they could pay off the royalties and still turn a profit!

Yes, Disney is responsible. They bought the Jim henson Company a couple of years ago

They didn't buy the Hensom Company, they bought the rights to the Muppets and the Bear in the Big Blue House in 2004. The Henson Company is it's own entity that is now Muppet-less, which is why they are persuing projects to their already-established brands like Fraggle Rock and Dark Crystal.
