Anyone notice how Nanny never got mad?!

Nanny seemed liked the perfect mom. I also wonder why the gang called her Nanny and not mom, or mommy? (it's a repeat question on the thread I started above-I know)

Nanny never got mad. At the most, I think she raised her voice. Some of the things the kids did would surely make her mad. Like at the end of "Piggy's Hyper Activity Book", the nursery is a mess from the kids doing the activites.

Nanny looking at the mess says "You kids sure have been creative. Messy, but creative!"

She seemed so nice and calm about the nursery being messy from the gang, but inside she probably thought, "when this episode ends, those animated characters are going to get it!"

Any regular mom would be very mad!!

But this is a kids show, and I guess we have to put ourselves in the shoes of the babies! If we were the babies making the mess, how would our mom react??

Our mom would be mad, but probably not show it with yelling!

What are the purposes of signatures!!..

Perhaps years later she blew her top...maybe that explains what happened to Skeeter....

In regards to why they didn't call Nanny "mommy".....

A nanny is a woman who is hired by parents/legal guardians to take care of their children and to do a little housework. The nanny generally lives with the family for whom she's working.

For instance, Mary Poppins is a nanny. Fran Fine from the series "The Nanny" is another example. Mrs. Doubtfire is also a nanny (though she didn't live with the family)

But the purpose of a nanny is to take care of the kids until the parents are home and able to. There were no parents on this show, Nanny was the sole caregiver of all those children.

She is human. How could she be mother to these anthropomorphic creatures?

Uh, don't answer that.
