Oz age discrepency

At the begining of S3 we see the characters assembled for Oz` `funeral` and a plaque giving his date of birth as 1958. I always thought this was wrong as the book accompanying the first series by Fred Taylor describes Oz as being 30 when they left. The first series also says they are out in Germany for 6 months and towards the end of that series we see Oz holding up the paper in hospital over the moon that Keegan has signed for Newcastle, an event which took place in July 1982, so his date of birth would have been 1951/52 surely.

That is just one of many discrepancies between the first two and the later series.
I always thought it silly to have the same actor who played the part of the spanish police chief in series 2 playing the part of Oz's girlfriends grandfather in series four,also the actor who played Oz's gay son in series three wasnt the same you boy who played him in series two.

The young boy who played Oz's son in Series 2 might had not got into acting later in life or was just not available.

Its that man again!!
