Does anyone think it was a missed opportunity having Noel Clarke playing Wayne's son?
AS he married a German girl surely it would have been a better connection to the original series and would have offered more comic possibilities to have a German lad join the gang?
I think it would be better to have a cockney play Wayne's son. I can't imagine a German character having the same sense of humour that would work in this series. The problem with Wyman was that a) Noel Clarke didn't have the charisma that Gary Holton had b) He was a badly written character. I don't think him being black was particularly a problem, if it had been a better actor and better character it wouldn't have made a difference. However, it would have made more sense for it to be Christa and Wayne's son.
