Okay. Just finished my fourth viewing of this engaging but bewildering film since it was first on HBO back in the 80's. When he is killing Harlan and Barry, was what we saw really happening? Or did he kill them in normal real world ways and what we saw is just how his "new brain" perceived it?

Superior intelligence doesn't necessarily equate to superior intention.
