Mispronunciation of Lorenzo de Medici

When Barry Convex introduces the new spring collection line of lenses he takes the time to credit the origin behind the name as belonging to Lorenzo de Medici, the Renaissance statesman and patron of the arts. However he mispronounces the name, calling him Med-EE'-chee, instead of MED'-a-chee. Of course it's of little importance to the film, but it's unfortunate to miseducate those who might want to know. Lorenzo de Medici was an important figure in Italian history. It's like pronouncing affluent a-FLEW'-ent instead of AFF'-lew-ent.

Americanized I guess? Seems like when I took Shakespeare in HS they pronounced it Med-EE'-chee too. I was unaware of the correct pronunciation myself.

Seems like Med-EE'-chee is the standard pronunciation here in Canada, though it's possible the mispronunciation was intentional since Spectacular Optical misattributes both quotes to Lorenzo.
