I'm sure it will happen because Hollywood has run out of ideas, so here's my casting for it.
Rhodes ---- Wiliiam Petersen Wilkes ---- John C Reilly Blaster ---- Owen Wilson Sailor ---- Josh Brolin Scott ---- Chris Klein Johnson ---- Terrence Howard Charts ---- Richard Dean Anderson MacGregor --- Gene Hackman.
The "Uncommon Valor" plot could be used in rescuing left behind prisoners of the Iraqi war but Hollywood is being careful about movies that relate to the war. This can be made after the war is officially over.
And even leaving it to a Vietnam plot wouldn't be that bad, but yes, since the Iraqi war is still a fresh thing, a movie based around that could also work.
Though it has it's funny moments, it's not a comedy. So the idea that you would throw in comical actors is stupid. There's not going to be a remake of this cause it wasn't really all that huge.
If you are talking Owen Wilson and Chris Klein, they have done some dramatic work ( Behing Enemy Lines and We Were Soldiers), so am I still stupid ?! And a lot of comedic actors can do drama... Jim Carrey, Bill Murray, Tom Hanks, you're right, people who have starred in comedic roles should only do that for the rest of their careers.
"There's not going to be a remake of this cause it wasn't really all that huge. " I started this post as something entertaining and to get people talking, not because I am dying for a remake. Have you ever heard of having fun ????
Rhodes ---- Dennis Quaid Wilkes ---- Gary Busey Blaster ---- Peter Horton Sailor ---- Mike Starr Scott ---- Jason Wiles Johnson ---- Reg E. Cathey Charts ---- Kurt Russell MacGregor --- Gene Hackman.
Terrific, a six-demon bag. Sensational. What's in it, Egg?
