How would they not be caught hiring the 2 kids to work late at night?
My understanding is that Landis paid the 2 kid's parents directly to have the kids be in the movie. He did this to avoid going through the union because the union wouldn't allow kids to work at 2:00 in the morning.
But if the accident didn't happen and the movie was released with the kids in it, how would the union not notice this? Wouldn't Landis have eventually been fined by the union?
