Question about ending (SPOILER)

When I watched the movie, I wasn't certain exactly who the second killer was supposed to be after he took off his Santa disguise...was it the police detective Polansky? I couldn't quite recognize him, but Polansky was the only character I could think of who wasn't already dead. Unless the killer was somebody who hadn't appeared before in the movie (which is kind of a cheat dramatically, but I wouldn't put it past this movie...)

It was Mrs. Jenson and Detective Polansky.

Yes they were the parents of the girl who was accidentally killed in the very first scene. As with a lot of 80's slashers, the killings were as a result of some event/tragedy that had taken place in the past and as a result had turned someone mad. Friday the 13th had Pamela Voorhees convinced that any Camp Counsellors were responsible for the death of her son, even if it was 20-30 years after the event. Here, it is only 2 years after and you'd think that locals would know who the parents were and the fact that one was a detective. I did think 2 years was a bit too short a time to play with here. Neat little slasher anyway.

Ha ha. Yeah. I never thought about that. How could anyone not know who the parents were?

Also, how did Mrs. Jensen go over the balcony? It cuts to the flashback in that moment and we don't know if Nancy pushes her, or if she decides to jump on her own. I know Polansky accuses Nancy of doing it, but that could have just been his grief talking.
