This film was strictly so-so. The gore f/x are decent, but the murder set pieces could have been staged with a bit more punch. Moreover, the strictly workmanlike direction by David Hess crucially fails to generate much in the way of either suspense or spooky atmosphere.

I think it is average. A pretty standard '80s slasher film like any other. I guessed who the killer was about 30 minutes into the film and I turned out to be right so at least that made me feel smart.

It took only ten days to shoot so I wonder if Hess just decided to go pedestrian in the film's approach and effort. Nothing about this pops off the screen. Of course I have watched the sorry excuse for a VHS copy. I hear the blu version is cleaned up a bit but I just don't have the inspired reason to buy it.
