I remember watching some of this on HBO when I was very little. I remember being impressed. As an adult, I often wonder if I re-watch it how will it stand the test of time. There are plenty of movies I liked as a kid that when I re-watched as an adult, they were terrible. "The lady in white" comes to mind.

I remember watching parts of this movie on HBO in the early 80's when I was a young child, I remember the alien peeling his hair and face off in the apartment and scaring the lady, it freaked me out because it looked pretty realistic and was gory, don't remember much else about the movie, not sure how I remember the name, maybe I saw parts of it on cable in the late 90's or early 2000's and got the name. I just re watched it, not a very good movie but had some okay parts, had a lot of potential I think with the story. The spaceship coming out of the clouds at the end actually looked pretty impressive, effect were pretty good too.
