A couple things are plaguing me. Perhaps someone can help fill in the gaps.

1. Who was the man who came in with the ex wife? I thought perhaps he was suppose to be a new husband or a boyfriend. Was he suppose to be an alien?

2. What the heck happened to his girlfriend? We saw her at the beginning of the film, she opens the door to let in the daughter.... then is never seen again. Instead he is making out with Nancy Allen's character Margaret.

Hey, you can't expect the director and writer to remember everything.

1. I thought the guy who came in with her carrying the bicycle was just a handyman from the professor's building.

2. Hook-up?
