Worst Leading Man Ever!

This guy had about as much personality as my knees. He kept the same exact emotion throughout the whole entire movie. Even when they kidnapped has daughter he didn't seem that broken up about it. The movie itself was interesting to watch, but still a big piece of *beep* I wanna go back and count how many times I'd hear a big music cue and nothing happens.

Dear Dionysius42003,

I thought he was hilarious and made the whole film a lot more enjoyable. I don't think it was designed to be taken too seriously.

reply

He evidently was playing it as a reserved biology professor. I believe the director ought to have told him to play it more energetically.

Norman Vincent Peale: "Stay Alive All Your Life".

To the *beep* who trashed Paul LeMat ignore list

"I fought your kind in the great war and we kicked the living *beep* out of you"

Surely you jest. Yes, I called you Shirley. Paul LeMat is ALWAYS awesome. I can't imagine anyone else playing the part... Mel Gibson, Powers Boothe were mentioned... please. Paul LeMat looks and acts like he could give a Flying ****. I like that.

Loved LaMat in American Grafitti, thought he was underwhelming in this film. He looked a little puffy too. But I do have to say the entire movie is not very good. Everything about it seemed cheap and made for TV-ish. For example all the rooms looked sparse and laid out like a movie set. Now that may have all been a homage to the fifties films. Kenneth Tobey reinforces that idea.

I've seen bad, amateur porn that was more convincing than this. Thankfully, it's so appallingly terrible, it's great! Woeful acting, disastrous editing....it just gets better and better!

reply

Terrible actor. Horrible movie.

reply

Go *beep* yourself

"I fought your kind in the great war and we kicked the living *beep* out of you"

reply

He's the worst actor I've ever seen in my life. I could do a better job than he did. It's like they pulled him off the street!

reply

I seem to remember seeing Le Mat in other films where he gave better performances than this. Maybe this movie was a 'phone it in / grab a quick pay check' film for him ha ha ha

Its odd , because SPOILERS......... the charactor of the x wife (played by Diana Scarwid) is sort of wooden and stilted, but at least thats explained away later when we find out shes an alien. Whats HIS excuse??? LOL LOL LOL ..........END OF SPOILERS

It was a decent movie, but yes, he could have emoted more!
