Satan's Alley

I think the ending musical is the most bizarre thing about Staying Alive. But I think I at least can see what Stallone was trying to go for even if it totally misfired. Tony Manero being in a more macho and intense Broadway production makes more sense then him starring in something like Guys and Dolls.

That whole thing was kind of embarrassing to watch.

Stop! Manners time.

what was the plot to satan's alley?

There is no plot;
Act I they all dance in Mad Max's Thunderdome, with extreme fog.
Act II has lasers and coloured lights.
Act III has gimps and whips. Dance fight!
It ends with a pedstal raising up and dancers striking poses.

Maybe it's interpretive dance. Make whatever 'plot' you like. :)

Gaiety.

Tony's a dancer. Can't have it be something like Guys & Dolls which is a musical. You need it to be an interpretive dance show.

Satan's Alley is so 1980s.

The way I took the "plot" of Satan's Alley was that he dies and goes to hell, meets some sexy demons and then meets the devil herself. They romp around while sexy demons do some dancing and then he gets a pass to go up to heaven and at the last minute he takes her with him so then the sexy demons have to self-govern so it's like The Lord of the Flies - Hell Style.

I was thinking satans alley mimicked his life story in a way of growing up in a kind of hell and eventually rising up to become a better man.

reply

Lol, if so, it failed badly. The film is laughable.
