Patrick Swayze

In the trivia section, it says Patrick Swayze is the guy catching Cynthia Rhodes in the Far From Over montage before Satan's Alley show.

How does anyone know that, because you never see his face?! Any truth to this rumour....... thanks!

reply

They know it because the filmmakers credited him. This was long before Swayze was famous as an actor, but he was an accomplished dancer. He probably helped with choreography and perhaps in training Travolta in modern dance.

reply

Not true. Didn't he star in The Outsiders that year as well. His movie credits go back to 1979 starting with a part in Skatetown USA

im watching it now. He is in that montage before the show. Its very brief. He's wearing a blue half shirt with white suspenders. Theres a shot where you see him in the background with his back turned. Where you see his face. He's in a circle of dancers. The shot starts over head the dancers start moving outward. The shot cuts to a front view of them. Hes on the left. You have to pause it to see him. Hes there.

reply

Well you do see his face, I watched it yesterday and saw him clearly.

...and a pair of titties that make you wanna stand up and beg for buttermilk

reply

Just saw him, too! Aw, Patrick, you are missed. :(

reply

There is a clear shot of his face, at about the 1:06:20 mark in the movie, right after Tony says, "I think I can do it" and the director says, "Do what?"

After that bit of dialogue, you see Patrick on the right side of the screen, next to a brunette dancer. He's easily visible for about 3 seconds.

I have not seen this movie in a long, long time, so I was surprised to see such a young Patrick Swayze in that shot.

I'm sorry but that's not him:

Apart from a slight similarity with the eyes, he looks nothing like Swayze.

reply

Huh? Sure looks like him. Clean your glasses or go buy a pair.

The man in the picture is dancer Dennis Daniels. Dennis not only danced in the film but said that he had coached Travolta for the film. I recently saw the dance finale of "Dirty Dancing" and was thinking how much Swayze reminded me of Dennis Daniels.
