this movie uses the same ships and sound effects tht were in battle beyond the stars. so i'd have to say they could be watched as being in the same universe. this movie is fun don't take it seriously you're not watching star wars this is just a way to kick back and be a kid. besides the line about the robots loading the damaged one onto the ship is funny.

Man every scene you see is from Battle beyond the Stars,its all stock footage even down to the big Battleship that John saxon is in,this one is Automated if memory serves,this must have got a £10/$10 budget to make it,but for some reason it IS watchable,all i can remember from the end is Hawk shot and dying in the chair after he has landed "NELL" and the kid legging it and goes home.
