That bad huh.........

I've been curious about this film. Is it really that bad or is it one of those that is worth seeing just to say you have seen it but never intend to see it again type?

reply

Actually it's neither - I believe it to be rather good. The comment the reviewer made was harsh, this movie came out when I was 13 and I liked it immensely.

Recently I found out that two of my friends had never seen it so I purchased it. I just rewatched it this evening, and rather than being disappointed, I was very glad I bought it and I'm hoping I can have my friends over to watch it.

It's no more scary than a Harry Potter movie, nor is it absurd for an adult to watch. Now that I'm older, I also feel a little less guilty drooling over the evil Mr. Dark >: )

Dark/Cooger 2008.

I first saw this movie in 5th grade, and it scared me witless. I couldn't believe it was a Disney film. And I suffering arachnophobia, the spider scene sends me chills to this day. I never got the Anchor Bay DVD, but I own the current Walt Disney DVD. Very good film. I'm currently reading the book, and it's interesting on seeing the differences between the book and film (as usual).

Thanks for your comments and I didn't know there was a book. Will be looking for that at the library next time.

The book is incredible! I watched this movie in 8th grade English class. My class was reading Farenheit 451 and The Illustrated Man, both of which I hated, but I chose to read this book, and it was excellent

How can you hate farenheit 451 its one of my fav books/movies and something wicked this way comes is one of bradburys best one of my favorite authors who also wrote ferenheit 451

I have never seen this movie before but it looked good so I bought it, but it was not what I expected. it was not charminly creepy as I expected it to be. I expected a Bradbury story and a Disney production to be better.

The movie version of Farenheit 451 isn't that great to me, the book is amazing. Too many things were lost in the movie though. Hopefully the new version of the movie will be better.

Ray Bradbury was a prolific story writer of Science Fiction and Fantasy, horror, and mystery fiction. He writings have been adapted for film, screenplays, television shows. Do a search here and learn more about him. He has been my favorite author for over 40 years. Your library should be full of his works.

OK forget it now. I was going to watch it again but not now. Put me in a room with a serial killer but not a spider.

I actually liked it more the second time around. It isn't the best movie I've ever seen but worth watching at least.

The second half is better than the first. I didn't love it, but it isn't bad. Jonathan Price and Jason Robards stole the show for me though.
