That what the producers were doing was to just pick on poor old Jackie Gleason's character Buford T. justice and found that he was the whole movie in the first Two installments. I felt sorry for Buford throughout that whole movie. Hollywood once again screws it up!

If Burt Renyolds had been in this along with Sally Fields again, and someone who had a clue regarding directing and editing was hired, this movie might have had potential. Not an Oscar winner, but at least way better than part 2. Not that that's saying much...
