Best Buford Out of the three

The movie was not the greatest without the Bandit, but Buford has some of his best lines in here out of all 3 movies. "I don't know, but it wasn't jacque custo" haha I used that line for years.

In the hotel the line with the orgy was funny,"Some kind of union meeting in there".Or "dont touch that door Junior, you might get a herpe on ya or something"."Keep reading your Gonad-Gazette,I'm looking for someone".Gleason was funny as hell! Oh yes...PLUS "what in the hell are those Klan Clowns doing HERE?!"

"Gimme the good ole days when a pair of boobs were a couple of dumb guys."
and
"Looks like yo momma. Smells like yo momma too."

I agree with the OP. This movie is lame without the bandit but Bufurd is at his best!

Completely agree. Part I will always be the true classic of the series, because it hit on all the right notes with all the right characters. But however pathetic the entire rest of Part III was, it was hilarious because Buford shines (along with Junior).

If the film gets one thing right, it's that it understands that the star of the series really was the Great One, with no apologies to Burt or anyone else. Buford more than anyone made the trilogy what it was.

The last 5 minutes of the film, with the great songs by John Stewart and the scene between Buford and Burt's cameo, are actually pretty moving in retrospect, imho, as dumb as it sounds. It was Buford's last hurrah, and Gleason was in the twilight of his career. Much of Part III was too dumb or too poorly done, but those scenes in themselves were a fun way to close the series.

Burt was great but I agree that without Gleason "Smokey" wouldnt have done the business it did and it prob wouldnt have spawned 2 more.
