HORRIBLE MOVIE
What a waste of a movie. The second one was also horrible. You have to wonder sometimes!!!

shareDespite how cheaply and poorly made it was in many respects, the more I've watched Part 3 in recent years, the more I've come to like and appreciate Gleason's final performance as Buford (not to mention Mike Henry as Junior, in tandem with Gleason).
shareTo me I've never considered this to be a great movie but I did like Jackie Gleason's performance as Buford and I enjoyed the scenes with him and his son Junior (Mike Henry), if it wasn't for these two the movie wouldn't been nearly as watchable
shareI remember my father dragging me, my 2 brothers, and a couple of other relatives to see "Smokey And The Bandit 3." I was 22 at the time, and didn't read any reviews or hear any ads about it. What motivated my father to see SATB3 is that he was a big Burt Reynolds fan (he still might be). Within the first 30 seconds of the flick, I regretted my decision. I should have gone next door to see Easy Money with Rodney Dangerfield and Joe Pesci, a much more superior film than SATB3.
To make a long story short, I had low hopes for "Smokey And The Bandit 3", and it didn't fail to deliver.
What do you mean this movie was horrible!? Are you nuts!? Robocop 3 was horrible! Paul Blart was horrible! This movie was some word that hasn't even been thought of yet! Horrible doesn't even begin to describe it! Yeah, it was fun to see Jackie Gleason play Justice 1 more time, but, still! How can you have a Smokey and the Bandit movie without Burt Reynolds!? That'd be like making a Cheech and Chong movie without Cheech and Chong!!!! I kind of like to pretend this movie doesn't exist. Makes it easier to deal with.
shareOh, it's a tick-turd of a movie alright, but I much prefer it to the second one. The script is non-existent but Gleason still makes me laugh as Buford.
