Why did Tony say he had no relatives in the USA to the Border Patrol?
Wouldn't it help him to say he had family in the USA already?

shareI realize that, but the conversation in the '83 version doesn't even happen the same way as the '32 version. That's why I was saying, "you would have to ask the writers" (of the '83 version)
Either way it doesn't matter. None of the dorks on the site, including myself, will ever be in any position to ask anyone with any first-hand knowledge of this movie, or probably any movie discussed here. This is all just self-entertainment to cure crippling boredom and depression.
