this awesome film was overlooked in so many ways. Box office, awards recognition, etc. I still watch this once a year.

I typically don't follow the academy, but I do feel that this film is truly a masterpiece, and has been overlooked by the snobbish elites who like emotionally sappy films like Terms of Endearment.
