Braden killed his family, right?

It's never said, it's never implied, but Braden sent the ninjas, right?

At the beginning Cho says that his father, his grandfather, died, fighting on this land. And acted like he had a debt to them to continue this, or something. Did he mean in wars, or via ninja? I mean, Cho doesn't even seemed alarmed, or ask what the *beep* is going on...it's like "Ah, *beep* ninjas crashing the Superbowl Party".

Anyways, so he said he wouldn't leave because of his family, and by chance they die. So, did Braden send them? If so, why did they attack him?

I've been watching this film since I was 5, and I'd always wondered this.

Though there's solid evidence to suggest otherwise, I've always chosen to believe that Braden set it all up because it makes the end battle, and said "Revenge", all the more satisfying.

Here's the case for.

"Braden sent the Ninjas": Braden gets Cho away from the house for a little chat. At that exact moment a group of Ninjas show up. That's either really convenient or there's a plan. And speaking of which, what is that plan? To re-enforce his (Braden's) appeal for Cho to leave the behind the violence and wars of his kin for a new life in America.

Now let's look at the case against.

"No damn way Braden sent those Ninjas. Their appearance is just a Ninjincidence": Those Ninjas didn't look like they were holding back against Cho. If Braden had sent them, he obviously wouldn't have wanted them to kill Cho, right? And what Ninja is going to sign up to be sword fodder just to help Braden's little scheme? Heck, Braden even pulls out a gun and starts picking them off if I recall.

Well, I assume Braden hired them under an alias or something, and knew Cho would kill these guys no doubt. Also, what's him to kill a few guys he's hired, it'd further help cement his case that he's a good guy.
