I'm thinking of another ninja film but I can't remember the name..

It's been over 20 years and I recall a ninja movie I saw as a kid.

Any way the movie's main character is an american ninja (no, the movie isn't called American Ninja =P) and the film begins with him completing his ninja training in Japan.
As he completes his training and receives some kind of award from his grandmaster, another ninja (who becomes the main character's rival) protests to the grandmaster that he should not be allowed to receive the award because he is a foreigner. The master ignores his protests and still awards the american ninja.

Soon the american ninja returns back to the US to resume a regular life and the rival ninja becomes jealous and tracks him to america.
the rival ninja soon starts killing people for whatever reason (can't remember it's been ages).

Any way as you can imagine the film's plot is very much similar to this movie's except the ethnicity of the hero and villain was swapped.

Anyone remember the title of the other ninja movie I'm talking about?

I believe the film you're referring to is "Enter the Ninja". It's a similarly trashy classic, and technically a "predecessor" to this film -- even though Sho is the baddie in part 1 (and therefore dies) and the goodie in 2. I'm anxious to see it released on DVD.

But I'm absolutely *dying* to see the follow-up, "Ninja 3: The Domination" released. It's been described as a combination of "The Exorcist" and "Flashdance", but with ninjas. Now that's prime AAA Angus trash.

"Enter the Ninja" is my absolute favorite BAD martial arts movie (I'm even comfortable calling it the worst martial arts movie ever made -- top that!). "Revenge of the Ninja" could only dream of achieving that level.

That was "Enter the Ninja" but "Revenge of the Ninja" is much better.

I don't why they had Sho play the bad guy and get killed by a dumb redneck! IRL he would've destroyed him!

Enter the Ninja looks like a Ninja porn movie.
