EVIL NINJA / BRADEN DEATH

Does anyone know what exactly was cut out of the final death scene as just before Bradens death he is using his main sword then it cuts to both Sho and Braden fighting over a much smaller half size sword and this is what Braden is stabbed with but you can clearly see 2 main swords on the floor !
My question is how did they both come to be fighting over a much smaller sword ?

I have both the UK vhs and the R1 DVD and both have this cut.

I have been searching for a fully complete version for 20 years now so please help.

HBO showed an uncut version of this film which had a lot of the bloody stuff in it. At the end when Braden is stabbed it shows him with blood squirting out of his belly about 10 feet for about 6 seconds. Then the good ninja steps back and splits the mask.

And the scene in the stairwell where Cho ambushes Braden's guards, he chops the hand off of one of them which was cut out of original version.

The Region 1 MGM DVD is the Uncut Unrated Version.
MGM just mixed up when they made the cover for the DVD and states that the movie is Rated R.

Have both the Region 1 DVD and the Japanese Unrated Laserdisc and they are the same versions.

Yes I just got the MGM DVD and it shows all the cut scenes!

However, none of the aforementioned versions explain why Braden switched to a dagger. Before the alledged "cut", Braden attacks with his sword but in the next instance all of the swords are on the ground and he's attacking with a dagger instead. Supposedly Firstenberg decided to cut out whatever the scene was between these two sequences, perhaps unsatisfied with the quality of the deleted scene. I wonder whether it's possible to locate some of these scenes which never made it to the public. Sadly, the "uncut" DVD version doesn't have any bonus material except the trailer.

You're right, I've always wondered what happened with that sequence.

It is a bad continuity goof.

btw, re: uncut scenes.

There is also another uncut part you all forgot to mention.

Braden's entry into the building. He surprises two armed guards standing in a hallway, upside down from a removed acoustical tile. He twirls what appears to be two sharp objects and as the guards are staring in awe, he proceeds to stap each of them, with the objects right in the eye

nice.....
