so bad, but in a good way

I just watched this movie the other day and thought it was entertaining and hilarious in an unintentional way. Here are my recommendations of what to look out for when watching the movie.

1. The "stealthy" ninjas hiding behind the backyard temple decoration.
2. Kane kicking the bully kids asses. Especially the kid who gets knocked off the bike.
3. The Indian. I almost lost my drink out my nose when I saw him. To make things even better Graden then says if anyone gets in your way scalp them. Then during Cho and the Indian's fight he pulls out tomahawks. 4. The fight in the park with the "tough" guys. One of whom is a cowboy. HAHAHA. After the fight they don't even try to ask them again if they know where Cho's son is, they just leave.
5. The robot ninja decoys on the roof.

These are just a few recommendations. Anyone else have their own favorite unintentionally funny parts in the movie?

Are these the Nazis, Walter?
No, Donny, these men are nihilists. There's nothing to be afraid of.

When you see the shadow of Braiden behind the sliding door putting a dart in his blowgun, just as you see the silouette of the pin being inserted in the pipe, the girl making out in the hot tub moans really loud.

I forgot about that part. That was very stealthy ninja technique.

My friend, I wholly share the sentiment, see my post here:

1.cho's family has just been massacred, and still braden won't let up about cho coming to america. and then cho's mother says she doesn't trust braden, while braden is standing just A FEW FEET AWAY, lol.

2. the way the one bully screams when kane throws dirt at his face. "AH MY EYES!!!"

3. for some reason it always makes me laugh when, during the playground fight scene, the cowboy has already been beaten senselesss and is climbing up the rope net to try and escape, and suddenly out of nowhere dave (the cop) appears and kicks him in the head again. and yes, it puzzled me too that cho and dave just walked away at the end of the fight. i guess the whole thing about locating kane was just an excuse to kick some a$$.

I love the segue from Japan to the US near the beginning of the film... it cuts from the Japanese set to a shot of a waving American flag, with the helpful caption "United States" underneath.

Ya notice between the original poster's #3 and #4 we've got two-fifths of the Village People showing up as minor villains? When I finally saw "Ninja 3" years later, I was sorely disappointed that the leather biker dude, the construction worker, and the cop didn't make an appearance.

And talk about beverages spurting forth from noses... any scene where the bad guy is walking around in broad daylight in FULL NINJA GARB! The picnic area bathroom assassination, for instance. Guys, the whole idea of ninjutsu was to blend in with your surroundings and NOT attract attention.

Also good for some laffs: the villain's cheesy demonic voice when he's wearing the mask. And why does he become eight inches shorter whenever he goes into ninja mode? I know, I know, it's because Kosugi was doubling for him...

And please let us not forget the mother fighting against Brandon. She freaking waddles for most of the movie, but is ready for a good ninja battle any time of the day. LMFAO

The Lord tells me he can get *me* out of this mess, but He's pretty sure you're *beep*

Your part about the flag is hilarious.

I think you're wrong about the doubling part. Sho Kosugi is very tall for an Asian man, (6"1) plus Eddie Tse was the double for Braiden. The actor Arthur Roberts who played Brainden is taller than Kosugi by a couple of inches.

I assume you're exaggerating about the 8 inches thing, Obviously he wasn't fighting himself in the finale.

A couple of my favourites:

- During the final fight scene: Braden and Cho both leap from a high wall in slow motion, and it's obvious they're aiming to fall on their backs for the trampoline/net that's out of shot. Of course, the camera cuts and shows them landing perfectly on their feet.

- After Caifano's nephew is killed, when the cop says "The coroner said it's gonna take a jackhammer to get them apart."

Some other good quotes:

When Cathy wants to practive martial arts with Cho near the beginning of the movie:

Cho - "If you want to work out, you forgot your pants."

I believe Caifano to the police detective at the scene of his nephew's murder:

"You guys celebrate downtown every time one of us gets the clap!"

When Kane escapes the sauna and is freeing Cathy from the hot tub, to the guard:

"Hey look! Superman!"

One of Caifano's thugs running through the skyrise while Cho & Braden have infiltrated the building:

"Son of a bitch ninja!"

The "gallery in LA" is clearly located in Salt Lake City. The fight on the roof had the city as a backdrop and a utah plate on the van.
I love when the stunt woman does a back flip and then the old lady slowly turns around, that made us laugh as kids.
They must have spent at least 11 of the 20 years of ninja training on gymnastics
Where was he stashing that robot doll? WTF
Why would you fight in a mask with tiny little eye holes?
Sho looks scary in mascara. And I liked 1983 parkour, this movie started a sport!

Some of it is bad, but I think it's still pretty entertaining. It really delivers the goods for an 80's ninja flick.

The fight at the end, when Braden pulls out what must be a flamethrower, lol.

Hahah! Pretty much everything you guys already mentioned.

But a few more that may have been missed:

1. In the first fight scene where Cho is fighting the final leader ninja, Cho throws a right cross to the leader's face in which it is horribly timed. The leader is supposedly 'rolling' with the punch in a ninja-like way, but he rolls way too late.

2. When Cho is sword fighting with a ninja in the bamboo reeds. There is this ninja who tries to be all slick and go horizontal in between the bamboo reeds. Horrible move. Horrible mistake as he gets sliced in half. Lol!

3. Braden replacing thuggish Asian enforcer (Prof Toru Tanaka) with a ridiculous, grimy enforcer that plays off every stereotype of an Asian thug: dragon tattoos, shirtless, fu-manchu beard, and..........ugly ass, lime green sweat pants

4. Blondie having her ass kicked by Cho's young son, but as soon as he turns his back, she can scoop him up like a little infant and walk away with him and detain him with her bare hands.

I love just before the final battle when Braden opens the sauna door and laughs at Kane, then closes the door and leaves. No big villain speech, just.. "I'm gonna do my evil laugh now."

And where did he get a mannequin for the final battle?
