Credit to George Lucas for the nice Seinfeld style intro...

... with those shuttle dudes sending over their codes in order to penetrate the Death Star.

Nice seeding for us the viewers later on...

What's "Seinfeld" got to do with it?

reply

Seinfeld was a masterclass in seeding things for payoff later in the episode. George does it well here.

Um, Davros? Return of the Jedi PREDATES Seinfeld by at least SIX YEARS. Explain that!

reply

Explain that!

It's because time moves in a linear fashion and as this film came out in 1983 with Seinfeld in 1989, ROTJ predates Seinfeld.

Hope that helps đź‘Ť.

It's an older code, sir, but it checks out. I was about to clear them.

reply

"I was about to clear them."
For the longest time, I thought he meant he was going to delete the older codes, so they wouldn't get in.

reply

reply
