Seinfeld was a masterclass in seeding things for payoff later in the episode. George does it well here.

Um, Davros? Return of the Jedi PREDATES Seinfeld by at least SIX YEARS. Explain that!

It's because time moves in a linear fashion and as this film came out in 1983 with Seinfeld in 1989, ROTJ predates Seinfeld.
