After the success of TOP GUN: MAVERICK Hollywood should really think about making a sequel to RETURN OF THE JEDI.

They would just fuck up a sequel, they always do. It'll be filled w Asian fahs, black queers and trannys who are all married to Mexican dwarfs.

That almost sounds like a Fellini movie, I'd watch.

First priority is get it out of the hands of Disney. And then Lucas.

Never mind sequels are just a bad idea and have been since 1981

Great idea! They could call it - Star Wars: The Ewoks Do It Again.

Start Wars is dead to me until it’s out of the hands of that cunt Kathleen Kennedy.

Thanks for making me LOL and spill coffee down my shirt !

That should have been made when the Prequel trilogy was. That was on Lucas.

Yeah then the original cast would've been young enough to headline the sequel trilogy, not so old so have to be just supporting mentor types to be sacrificed (and no CF dying between movies). Of course Ford might've been an issue back then not wanting to do SW again (by TFA he was probably more open to it) but he most likely would've agreed so long as they killed him off in Ep7 as happened (and paid him 20m). lets face it the OT cast is what everyone wanted to see for the 4th film in 1999. and a 'Force Awakens' type film wouldve gone through the roof (like it did in 2015) and Lucas wouldve been hailed a hero reviving the Star Wars everyone loved

and with the prequels in 2015 onward Lucas would cast whoever was 'hot' in 2010s for ObiWan (maybe even Ewan still), Anakin, Padme etc. Also by then maybe Lucas would've rethought the structure of the prequels: no child Anakin, no jar jar etc

Strangely enough they are .

Meanwhile, back in the middle of the long-established Skywalker Saga, Filoni will direct a big-screen adventure tying in to The Mandalorian, a “cinematic event” that tells a vital part of the “escalating war between the Imperial remnant and the New Republic.” It’ll continue to flesh out the time between Return Of The Jedi and The Force Awakens – though it’s currently unknown whether it’ll mark a final chapter in the wider ‘Mando-verse’ story, or whether Filoni and Jon Favreau’s epic yarn will continue beyond the big-screen tale.

So the Filoni film is basically going to be a sequel to Return of the Jedi, like Episode VI.5 , or the chance to do an alternate Episode VII - probably featuring late 80s DF Hamill/Ford/Fisher and Chewie, R2/3PO, etc interacting with various characters from the various TV shows

What if Dave Filoni’s Star Wars movie is actually the Star Wars original trilogy sequel that fans wanted? You know, a sequel to Return of the Jedi with Luke Skywalker, Ahsoka and others having to go to battle with the imperial remnant led by Thrawn?

Not suggesting that doing what the fans want/expect is good, just a thought about how this film might be even bigger than we all think?

Maybe we'll be getting a 'Heir to the Empire' trilogy set between VI and VII - basically the Episode VII/VIII/IX that everyone wanted (as if made in the 90s via DF deaging tech), and building toward TFA/Ben being seduced by the Dark Side (basically a new prequel trilogy, like Eps I-III were to Eps IV-VI)
