people are now against slave Leia ??
yes she is chained and is captive but she then kills Jabba, don't get why some parents all of a sudden are against it

I get the sense this is driven more by a feminist agenda than anything else. New head of Lucasfilm is a female (Kathleen Kennedy, a woman I greatly respect), and you can see in both Ep. VII and now Rogue One they seem to be trying to make up for the dearth of females in the previous six films all at once. I get the sense they feel "Slave Leia" isn't empowering or whatever.
I've noticed since the semi-announcement of no more Slave Leia merch that all previous Slave Leia merch on eBay has gone through the roof.

Not sure what those folks are on about, Slave Leia inspired a lot of people and brought a little skin into Star Wars. She single-handed kills Jabba the Hutt after all, continuing to portray a strong female lead. We got that with Padme as well in AOTC. I expect it will still happen with Rey at one point or another, perhaps in Episode VIII or IX.

I love the fact that everyone forgets about Oola, Jabba's previous slave girl, who shows off way more nudity than Leia, and also gets sacrificed to the Rancor while everyone is laughing at her. Feminists don't seem to care about that at all, it seems. 😂
shareThis new gen of feminists dont care about anything but their personal agenda.
shareI get the impression that a lot of people are great at generalizing and setting up a strawman.
shareYep, feminists are ruining most everything good in this world. The other post correctly pointed out that most of these people offended by it just see the slave part and overeact to it. Carrie Fisher had a great body and looked great in that outfit and she did get to kill jabba. Leia became an iconic figure because of that slave outfit.
shareI've not heard that parents were against it.
shareHe's got her dolled up and wearing a sexy outfit and a chain collar, and says
"In time you will learn to appreciate me" before sticking his tongue in her face.
She's definitely his sex slave.
I don't have a problem with it, but it is the raciest thing that happens in these movies. I can understand some parents being put off by it, especially the action figure.

But seriously, do you really think so though? I mean dude's a giant slug, and she's some human female hottie. They don't exactly ... "mesh", to coin a phrase.
Eww, I really wouldn't want to see that -----> 
shareSocial Justice warriors have to much free time, always looking for something to protest and will focus on the silliest things. I think some of us hate Rey because she's being used as a message not a interesting character. I wish these Hardcore Liberals would be objective and really think about it. Plenty of strong female characters have been used in movies and shows going back many years with a mostly male fan base.
Sarah Connor
Ellen Ripley
Leia
Wonder Woman
Alice
Just about every Horror movie
(tongue in cheek) It's demeaning towards women, especially now that Hollywood is in full steam ahead mode trying very hard to push women as heroes. This is preparing us for Hillary as POTUS.
