Did anyone else used to think Oola turned into a frog?

I've not seen Remastered for a while, but I gather additional shots are in the sequence, probably making this moot? But when Oola (Jabba's slave dancer) falls down into the pit, Jabba instantly eats one of his frog things. Did anyone else used to think the pit turned her into a frog, and he ate her?

reply

I always thought that!

reply

LOL, I haven't heard that before but I can see why one may think that growing up on Return of the Jedi...

Nope, Oola became the first meal of the day for the hungry Rancor!

reply

She turned into rancor s##t. 😄

reply

Yes.

Nobody exists on purpose. Nobody belongs anywhere. Everybody's gonna die. ...Come watch TV?

reply

It's a thought that would at least momentarily cross a child's mind.

reply

I usually only wonder whether she actually lost her top like a lot of people say.

reply

Yes. Sadly, I once watched that part frame by frame just to see if it's true. She does, in fact, slip out of her costume for a moment. If you watch the film at regular speed, you can't tell.

Talk about an over active imagination. I never heard this before. I always thought it was obvious with little room for interpretation as to what happened to the poor Twi'lek slave girl. She got dumped into the pit and eaten by the rancor monster. ~ The End

reply

I always thought Jabba eating the frog, was symbolism for the Rancor eating Oola.

This is hilarious, just because it shows how strange a child’s mind can perceive otherwise obvious stuff in movies. I was young when Episode 1 came out and for some reason I was under the impression that Darth Maul and Palpatine were the same person. Why? I dont know.
