Proof that online petitions don't work.
shareIt never had a chance of winning. Amazon (owners of IMDB) had been gradually Phasing out the message boards over several years. Each time there was a massive flame war on some board, with people going crazy and over-using the report feature, posting complaining messages to Col Needham and outrageously sending complaints about specific posters via email to amazon execs, it shortened the lifespan of the IMDB message boards. Amazon was never interested in hosting a message board community. It was always just a matter of time.
