Did Lila know immediately who her killer was?

As mentioned on the originally Psycho board, it was mentioned if Marion Crane and Arbogast knew who their killer was when they were faced with extreme terror before their eyes. And I always wondered if Lila knew who her killer was seconds before she was stabbed deep in her throat. That was a brutally painful death by the way. So you think she immediately assumed it was Norman or did realize it was a crazy woman (Mrs Spool)?

Ha ha you know I was thinking the same thing during the deaths of Marian crane and the detective. I wondered what went through their heads as they looked right at who was killing them and saw it was Normans face. The thing is we know the detective saw him but the way they portrayed the shower scene it looked like Normans face was in shadows. I guess though that was only for the benefit of the audience. In the shadows it did look like a woman's face and I thought I read that in that scene it was actually a woman.

What I mean is that when they filmed they used a woman even though it was intended to be norman dressed as mother.

Yeah I guess it's intended for the audience to make an educated. Although Lila and Mrs Spool never interacted through the movie. So they never knew each other. So it appeared Lila had a WTF moment seconds before she was brutally stabbed.

That's a good question! I always assumed she thought it was Norman (if she had time to think at all) because Mary had implied to her that Norman was slipping back into insanity. I don't know if she actually saw Spool's face as it would have been darkened out by the shadow of the light just like we (the viewer) saw.

Two thoughts: First, she knew it wasn’t Norman because he’s tall and thin, while her killer was short and frumpy. Second, I don’t think she knew who her killer was because she didn’t know Mrs. Spool. Her final moments were filled with terror and unanswered questions

I was hoping in Psycho 3, that its revealed that Lila isn't dead, just wounded and survived the stabbing. She then teams up with Norman in this movie, since it wasn't Norman who stabbed her. They kill off many of the characters and becomes more of a tag team like slasher film
