Now that it's on DVD...

I want to rent the DVD from Netflix, but it says there's a "very long wait" on it..can anyone tell me if the new DVD of "Private School" is uncut and has all the original music? If so, I can buy it from eBay knowing that it's worth buying. If not, does anyway know how long a "very long wait" for a Netflix DVD is- a month, two months?

There was a license deal problem with the title song which may have been one of the reasons that Private School took so long to come out. That was part of the reason the original Heavy Metal movie took forever to get released on vhs never mind dvd.As to the guy who freaked out over running time dude take a chill pill.If you did order a movie from say Amazon and it was all edited you most likely could return it for a credit. No need to panic worse case scenario you order it,it's not what you thought and you dump it at a store that takes in used dvds. You'll lose money but as they say buyer beware.Me i'm glad all these 80's teen lust movies are coming out of the woodwork .I watched alot of cable tv in the early 80's and went to the drive-in alot(remember those?) so I love rewatching movies like Private School-for girls.

I have the LP and I'm also very familiar with the movie, having had it on VHS and laserdisc and after watching most of it yesterday, it seemed to me that all the original songs from before are still in this DVD release. There always was some instrumental music during the dance. I'm pretty sure I'm right about this, it would have jumped out at me otherwise. But overall, to the guy who asked the question, yes, pick it up. It hasn't been cut and it has the original songs.
