Line Cribbed in Breakfast Club

The line in The Breakfast Club where Bender says to Andy: "you slip her the hot beef injection?" - the "phrase hot beef injection" was used in Private School, which pre-dated TBC by two years. The line is delivered in the scene where Modine is in the arcade with his two buddies just before the call to Phoebe is made. Just wondering if anyone actually used that term in the 80s, or if John Hughes saw this dreadful picture and liked the line and put it in a better film. Just kinda interesting - thought I'd throw it around - concerns, comments, questions - feel free.

PS. Martin Mull's cameo in this awful picture is enough to warrant a sit through

Oh yeah the "hot beef injection" was a commonly used term in the testosterone fueld boy's locker rooms filled with boastful lies of conquests. Now did we pick it up from this film? I dunno. I remember seeing this a few years after it came out and back in '83-'84.

Yes, the expression "hot beef injection" had been around for some time. I can attest to that, having injected my hot beef several times prior to 1983.

And by that, i mean insert my erect penis into a woman's vagina. I just wanted to be clear on that.

Your clarification was HILARIOUS! There's a comedian who does that, but I don't know who.

I asked the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.

What do you expect? I mean Matthew Modine was still learning how to act and was not a very good actor at that time when he did Private School. I heard this saying in the movie when I watched it.

The only thing is that I was born in 1972 so I was still young in the late 70's and early 80's but did not start hitting my teenage years until the mid 80's so I might have missed that saying that Matthew Modine used in Private School.

The line was also used by Dana.. something in "Making the Grade" starring Judd Nelson and Andrew "Dice" Clay.
