PRIVATE SCHOOL ON BLU-RAY
It will be great if they put Private School on Blu-ray.

Like many of the movies from the 70's & 80's The quality can only be improved so much.
I agree, but the film quality was very good for 1983, and like many other films Private School could be cleaned up even better for release on Blu-Ray.

Movies shot on 35mm film have greater resolution than blu-ray.
When they clean up the older films the 35mm film already contains more resolution than the blu-ray format can handle.
So with care they clean up nicely.

I just noticed that Private School has been airing on Cinemax in HD, so they already cleaned up the old film. (Oct.2010)
It's probably just a matter of time before they release it on Blu-ray.
