She was wearing a hat because a stunt woman was used during the scene where the shirt was torn off while riding the horse. The stunt woman was wearing a hat from behind so you could not tell that it was someone else. Next there is a scene where bubba is riding next to Betsy that is a far distance wide shot, that could also be a stunt woman because it looks like she has smaller breasts.(it could be Betsy but it's hard to tell because of the distance) Next is the scene that everybody remembers where Betsy Russell does the bareback riding scene with her hair down flowing and her natural breasts bouncing. This is a close up shot of Betsy Russell and it is 100% her. This was filmed on a different day. The director & wardrobe made a mistake a put a thick white belt on her that does not match her other scenes. But it is 100% Betsy Russell. She did 6 total nude scenes in the movie.

One of the best scenes is where Bubba pulls of her towel at the beginning of the movie. This is a full nude scene showing all areas, It's best to watch it on DVD in slow motion. All of her scenes are great in the film.
