The musical score always seemed out of place

I love this movie. But I always felt that the musical score in various spots didn't set the correct mood. I think Coppola was going for a 50s film feel, like in Rebel Without A Cause. But it just seems out of place throughout much of the film.

Totally agree. So trite as to be nearly spoof-like.

The court room scene is a good example of how BAAAAD to the bone the music was.
