Idiot Control Now!

"I got a sack full of monkies in my pocket!"

I don't know what the real words are, but it's one of the worst songs I've ever heard.

reply

"Where Flying over trout."
"Idoit Control Now!"

I agree. Joel and The Bot did a good job making fun of it. "It Stinks!"

"Just Like in Gummo!"

reply

"My sister's ready to go."

YOU F#CK!N' ROCK!!!!

"It is better to destroy than to create what is unessential." -- Daumier, 8 1/2

reply

I never could figure out WHY this was funny, but this has to be one of the funniest things I've ever heard (especially the Gypsy background singing).

reply

Bless you, bless you for posting those lyrics!

But alas, the link to the mp3 no longer works. Does anyone have this?

And, does anyone have the original song's lyrics?
Thanks!

reply

you can most likely find this mp3 on LimeWire

It stinks.

Thank you for reminding me of one of the best parts of my childhood. (This was one of two MST3K episodes my local blockbuster had.)

~*~
Louis: I don't want to drink blood from humans. Lestat: Yes, you do. Louis: You're right.

reply

I had to listen to my MST3K copy a few times before I finally heard what the dumb glamor-rock singers were saying. I guess that explains lines like "Wind in my eyes" and "Burning rubber tires."

Rick: Hold it, It stinks.

Crow T. Robot: We agree!

Sack of monkeys in my pocket!

must be a big pocket...

"GOOD? He's the BEST!" - TV'S Frank

reply

I cannot stop laughing.

"All I want to feel is the wind in my eyes"

That is one of my favorite MST3K episodes ever.

reply

I like when Joel and the Bots are doing the remake and they go to Dr. Forrester and Frank.

Forrester: Well, he's pretty good.
Frank (wearing the I'm a Virgin t-shirt): Good? He's the best!

Episode has the two best Joel and the Bots skits...Idiot Control and The Trumpy Experience.

"You're magic, aren't ya trumpy?"

Everytime I see that scene with joel just jumping up and down and the clothes coming out of nowhere....hehehe.

Kid: "Now we can play...do you know what play is?
Servo as Trumpy: "Yes, it's where I break you in half."

reply

That and the end with Forrester and Frank giving the OK sign and saying "It stinks".

The "Pod People" episode in MST3K has always been my favorite.

Oh and Cobes... thanks for the lyrics man!

reply

Sorry to be nitpicky on a 5.5 year old post...but that was actually Crow doing the Trumpy voice, not Servo.

Best part of the episode!

"Why spend your life making someone else's dreams come true?"

This isn't my favorite MST3K episode, but the "Idiot Control Now" part (both the commentary and Joel & the bots' skit) is the best segment ever.

reply

it's on my ipod.

i think what most Americans(including the SOL crew) don't know about the "It stinks!" and the irony of his making an 'Okay' sign with his fingers and thumb is that the gesture doesn't mean 'Okay' over in Spain. That hole he's forming with his fingers is supposed to represent an...errr....delicate part fo the female anatomy, and is supposed to mean 'F&*%' not 'Okay'. So he was not being ironic(he hadn't the brain power for that), he was literally saying that the song they'd just recorded was f*&%#d up. But their riffing on that whole scene was still pretty hilarious.

reply

Hear the X's roll,
Bees on pie,
Burning rubber tires!

This ranks as the greatest lyrics ever

reply

that and the obvious dubbing. "'it stinks!' ... only he didn't say 'stinks'" =D

reply

But scothadan, isn't he smiling when he gives the "okay" sign? Like he approved?

reply

Someone mentioned before that what we call the "ok" sign is considered a rude sign in Italy, which this is an Italian production, kind of like sticking up you middle finger in the U.S.
